The Everyday Posy
A loose, garden-gathered handful — whatever is happiest at the market that morning. Small enough for a windowsill, generous enough to be a proper gift.
Ashgrove Lane · since 2014
A tiny shop with a big front window, buckets on the pavement, and a florist who knows your name. We gather what's good at the market each morning and tie it up by hand.
Open today — fresh stock in from the growers at 7am
Our shop
Petal & Stem started as a Saturday stall outside the bakery. Twelve years later we're still on the same lane, still buying from the same three families at the flower market, still refusing to sell anything we wouldn't put on our own kitchen table.
Everything is conditioned, trimmed and tied the morning it leaves us. If the season gives us ranunculus, you'll get ranunculus. If it gives us dahlias the size of your hand, well — you'll get those too.

This week at the shop
Every bouquet is made to order the morning you need it, wrapped in recycled kraft paper and tied with jute. Nothing sits in a fridge overnight.
A loose, garden-gathered handful — whatever is happiest at the market that morning. Small enough for a windowsill, generous enough to be a proper gift.
Our signature: three foliage varieties, two focal flowers and a bit of something wild. Big, scented and slightly unruly, exactly as it grew.
Twelve long-stemmed roses, conditioned for two days so they open slowly at home. For anniversaries, apologies, and Tuesdays that need improving.
Need something bigger, or a colour that isn't here? Call the shop before 2pm and we'll put together a custom wrap from that morning's stock — from $80.
Come by
We're the green shopfront between the bakery and the old post office. There's usually a dog asleep by the door and always a jar of something sweet on the counter.
Public holidays we usually close — ring ahead and we'll leave something out for you.
Say hello
"I asked for something cheerful under fifty dollars and got the exact bunch I'd have picked myself, if I knew anything about flowers."
